Trans Chemica – ex name Stolt Jasmine
After having been looking for the right candidate for some time we are happy to announce that on the 17th of April we signed at deal to take over the MT ‘Stolt Jasmine’ with delivery in Japan on the 8th of May. The vessel will transfer flag to Malta and change name to MT Trans Chemica and thereafter sail for a dry-dock and painting job in China.
By early June she should start picking up a cargo program on her way to Europe. When that voyage is completed she will start in the SCT service on the Continent – Mediterranean trade sometime in July.
The vessel is 12500 dwt, with 20 stainless steel cargo tanks. She was built in 2005 and is also fitted to carry propylene oxide. She will be a welcomed addition to our European service and will add flexibility and increase our service level for our European customers.
Trans Chemica will be re-classed in the DNV-GL register and be on BB charterer to the Seatrans Group and run under Seatrans Ship management. After the first 18 months the Ownership will be transferred to one of the Seatrans ship owning companies.
We wish each other the very best of luck with this new ship in the Seatrans Chemical Tanker fleet.
